Hi, I’m Kaylee.
Designer. Problem solver. Home enthusiast.
I've always been fascinated with how the spaces that surround us shape the way we think, feel, and live. I believe a well-designed home has the power to influence our everyday lives in ways we often don't realize. Patterns, textures, colors, light, and thoughtful planning all contribute to how we experience a space, affecting everything from our mood to the way we move through our daily routines.
From a young age, my passion for design, combined with my interest in psychology, shaped the way I viewed the built environment. I became intrigued by how an interior could be both beautiful and purposeful. To me, the best homes aren't just visually appealing—they foster connection, support everyday life, and create a sense of comfort and belonging for the people who live there.
As I grew older, that curiosity evolved into studying floor plans, reimagining layouts, and discovering a passion for creating homes that truly support the people who live in them. That passion led me to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from George Fox University before spending six years as a cabinet designer. Working alongside builders and tradespeople gave me a deep understanding of the design-build process, and those experiences continue to shape the way I approach every project today.
Now, through Carson & James Design, I have the privilege of helping homeowners create spaces that are timeless, functional, and deeply personal. My goal is simple: to design a home that reflects your story and supports the life you live within it.
